Calibre will not load
version 2.04
will not load with a variety of error messages saying not desined ofr windows or error
Also MemoryLoadLibrary0 failed loading lxml\etree.pyd error code 1
all help appreciated
Running on win 7 pro under parallels 11 on macbookpro

"Not designed for Windows"? Are you in fact trying to run the Windows version, or are you trying to run the OSX or Linux one? The correct version for Windows 7 can be downloaded from the Calibre Web site.

Another error message suggests that the file calibre2\DLLs\libiconv.dll is at fault
Have run a full system scan with Norton but still Calibre will not load

all other programs start ok
Error messages are headed calibre .exe - bad image

Okay. First make sure you have a backup of your library. Also, if you have customised Calibre a backup of your configuration files won't hurt. You will need to post the actual error messages. It is starting to get late here and I won't be on much longer, but someone will be able to help. If you're inpatient then reinstalling Calibre may be worth a try.

Did a repair and it seems to be working - at least it started ok.

Just for interest why run Calibre in such a convoluted way? Would it not be easier to simply run the mac version?
