Chapters/Indigo shipping to U.S. residents?

I am considering buying a Glo HD this weekend and wondered if any U.S. residents may have bought a Kobo from Chapters/Indigo and if so what was the approximate shipping time and if they had any issues with the unit were they resolved satisfactorily?

I ordered my H2O from Chapters and it came within days - I ordered it on a Monday or Tuesday, can't remember which, and it came on Saturday. I had no issues, so I can't comment IRT customer service.

The same with me. I got it within just a few days, and had no problems. Plus the exchange rate at the time meant that I got the device cheaper by ordering it from Chapters!

Same with my order, came in just a few days. I had no problems at all with my reader to be able to say how the return process is, but they seem a very reputable store to deal with.

I am also a fan. In some cases, my orders from Chapters/Indigo arrive more quickly than orders from Amazon shipped from within the U.S. And the current exchange rate means I get the item cheaper. I highly recommend them.

This thread was helpful in deciding to order from Chapters/Indigo. Got my Glo HD for $87 USD. Hopefully it arrives within a week or so.

Did you receive an order confirmation by email? I placed an order yesterday evening and still haven't received an order number.

It also said delivery by December 24 which seems long.

Yes. I received three emails. The first was a confirmation of the order I placed. The second came a few hours later, that email contained the order number. An hour ago, I got the third email, which said the Glo HD had shipped.

That's their normal disclaimer, they just want to be covered in case of out of stock or shipping problems. But they usually ship within a day or 2 and it arrives in about 2 more days.

I ordered it yesterday morning, and I received 2 emails yesterday. I received the third one this morning with the shipping confirmation. My second email also said it would be delivered by December 24.

I received the shipping information and I tracked the package using the tracking number. The tracking information said it was scheduled to arrive on 12/1. I ordered yesterday and received the same guaranteed to arrive by 12/24 message. It looks to me like the units are likely to arrive long before Christmas - most likely sometime next week.

I just remembered one more thing about how Chapters ships so you're forewarned. I did have to sign for the reader when it came, I would expect that to be the same. Last time it came in 2 days from the shipping date but that was April/May. Not sure if mail is slower yet due to Christmas orders.

Wow - Our mail lady just came by with a package to be signed and it was the new Kobo. I am amazed, I ordered a cover from Amazon the same day and it's not scheduled to arrive here until tomorrow.

My last Kobo was the first generation Glo and the screen improvements in the new HD are far better than I had imagined. Needless to say I'm very pleased with the product and the service I received.

I can't wait to get my Kobo Glo HD. I'd be interested in you expanding on your thoughts/impressions on the Glo HD.
