International Conspiracy Thrillers

I love international conspiracy/techno thrillers, especially ones in the Dan Brown school with a historical or religious twist.
  1. I'll tell you what i've read so far to help with choices:
  2. Steve Berry's Cotton Malone books (Good).
  3. The 1st Sigma Files book by James Rollins (Good).
  4. Scott Mariani's Ben Hope series (Really Good).
  5. The 1st templar book by Paul Christopher (Good).
  6. Halfway through the Ethan Warner series by Dean Crawford (Really Good).
  7. Some Kuzneski (blegh).
  8. Dan Brown (blegh).
  9. Simon Toyne (Really Good).
  10. Patrick Lee (Really Good).
  11. Andy McDermott (blegh)

On my TBR pile I've also got books by:
  1. C.S. Graham
  2. Glenn Cooper
  3. Alex Lukeman
  4. JF Penn
  5. David Lynn Golemon
  6. Clive Cussler (Oregon Files)
  7. Preston & Child
  8. Greig Beck
  9. Jon Land
  10. Jeremy Robinson (Chess Team series)
  11. Adam Blake
  12. Will Adams
  13. Robert Masello
  14. Anton Gill
  15. Sam Christer
  16. Alex Connor
  17. James Douglas
  18. A.G. Riddle
  19. Boyd Morrison

Any other ideas? I don't mind if it's indie or trad, as long as the indie is well formatted and properly written. If anyone knows what thriller of this description features the Temple Mount and Jerusalem as a central part of the plot that would also be great.

You've hit the ones that I could think of off the top of my head but I am bookmarking this.

These don't have much in the historical/religious twist that I know of but these fit in with several of the other authors you listed:
  • David Baldacci (Camel Club and other series)
  • Stephen Hunter (Bob Lee Swagger)

Here are some specific books that might be close, I have read the first three but the others are from my TBR list:
  • The Watchlist (The Chopin Manuscript and The Copper Bracelet) by Jeffery Deaver and others (a bunch of authors worked together on these)
  • Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
  • The Delta Chain by Iain Edward Henn
  • The Manuscript by Russell Blake
  • The Shakespeare Manuscript by Stewart Buettner

Dazrin beat me to Russell Blake but I was thinking Zero Sum.
He also co-authored a couple of books with Clive Cussler.

Wow! Thanks for the list. You have covered all the ones off the top of my head. None of oldies like Robert Ludlum?

Have bookmarked this page.

Ludlum did a couple of very light reads: The Road to Gandalfo and The Road to Omaha, but I've only seen them as pbooks. Definitely worth searching for and totally unlike his better-known efforts!

The Road to Gandolfo was a hilarious read.

I thought Road to Omaha was even better. Just wish he had continued the series. The characters were great. However Bourne undoubtedly paid better....
