Help! Page Turns Gone

Hi, This might sound crazy but I read my books in epub on Calibre on my computer. Recently, the pages act like adobe reader. They don't turn I have to keep pressing the arrow down button or use the mouse to scroll up and down. The pages don't take over the entire view like before. I've updated to the latest version and its gone. I've gone into preferences and selected the opens for page turns. and nothing. Its driving me crazy. Please help.

Page Up and Page Down keys still work

Yes the page up and down keys work but it's like a screen shot. the page cuts off the half sentences. The back and forward keys on the side panel are greyed out. So in order to actually read the book and keep my place i have to scroll or use the arrow keys up or down. The left or right arrows don't work at all. It's just really strange.

I'm using an older version of calibre, so I hope this info still applies.

Look at the upper right corner of the calibre viewer screen and find the icon that looks like a scroll. If it is switched "on", turn it "off".

See if that solves the mystery.

I'm using version 2.44 and there isn't a scroll icon.

Only thing that I have is the preference icon.

The upper right corner of the viewer window, not of calibre.
