Edit books: Mass warnings. Bulk correction?
Hello.
A book got multiple warnings which are all not to correct automatically (via ''Try to correct all fixable errors automatically'', a dozen WARNING: CSS_Property_Unknown Property name. (xxx_x_word-wrap) (stylesheet.css) Description: This CSS construct is not recognized. That means that it most likely will not work on reader devices. Consider replacing it with something else. With what to replace? Can't I delete all these lines showing word-wrap: break-word? and about 200 WARNING: The linked resource template.xpgt does not exist (text_chapxxx.html) Description: The resource pointed to by this link does not exist. You should either fix, or remove the link. I don't know how to fix, but I may remove these links. Yep! The general problem is the sheer mass of warnings. Exist a possibility to correct in bulk? I generally just remove all the lines it's objecting to when I see warnings like this, and nothing bad happens.

Make use of Search and Replace to find all occurrences and change them.

double click the error or warning (left side), it will take you there
NOTE Both of those are simply warnings (advice) The first make viewers like used in Calibre and Sigil behave nicer The second is just (possibly) wasted space (and annoys some distribution suppliers Validation) If you double click this warning, it will show the File. The file name in the Files Browser will be italic Your choice with warnings |

Some warnings/errors, calibre knows how to automatically fix. You will see a message to the effect of "Fix this automatically".
For example, a font that has different names in the CSS and in the font file. Other warnings/errors cannot be fixed automatically, because they require a user decision to resolve. "Try to correct all fixable errors automatically" will fix all of them in bulk -- but only if calibre knows how to fix that error. |
