FYI: Win10 System Admin may be required.
FYI: I got a new PC with W10 Home. I copied my Calibre Library from the old XP machine and it wasn't recognized. A support guy was able to copy books to the new Calibre but without the metadata. After many many hours over a few days I finally was able to create a System Administrator (read god) account on W10. Then I recopied the Library from the old PC and Calibre opened with everything as it was.
Keep in mind if you have a Local User account even administrator privileges aren't enough and W10 Home will try to stop you. You need W10 Pro pr better to do that. Please don't ask me how to work around it because it's dangerous to the health of your system if you screw something up.. |

I can tell you that calibre works fine on Win10 with a local, non-privileged account. Something is wrong on your end.
Perhaps at first the metadata.db was not copied over? If you switch to a local account, does calibre stop working? ![]() |

![]() Installed Calibre, Copied the Settings (the libraries were untouched) An Admin LEVEL account is only needed to Install the program. IMHO W10's UAC beats W7's by running admin users in an less elevated state than before. Vista (RC) UAC was ![]() |
