Automatic 'share by email' not working-config problem on my end?

I had this feature working great for years but I seem to have broken something when I re-installed calibre as part of a win10 upgrade. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong?

Win10 PC, running Calibre 2.38 64bit

I have 2 recipes set for auto download and mail to 3 accounts. Will auto sent to only one of the 3 accounts. Account marked 'Jeff-Hotmail' works, other two accounts fail - see attached screenshot.

If I manually email the book from the GUI, emails to these same 2 accounts work fine. Calibre used to automatically email to same 2 accounts OK before re-install.

I'm sure it's something silly...but I can't seem to find it. Can someone point out what's not right? Thanks!

The other two accounts dont have epub set in the allowed formats.

OK - still something odd here.

I set the format to epub and the books auto send correctly. But the kindle email address won't accept epub format. So I changed the format section to be mobi and now the books won't mail.

What is the required setting to get the subscriptions to auto send but also a format that amazon will accept?

If you want to auto email news to your kindle then you have to use mobi and set your output format to mobi as well. ANd note that amazon strips all special periodical markup from books delivered by email, so it will show up as a regular book not a periodical on your kindle.

OK - thought I had done that. What part of this setup is incorrect or missing? I'm not getting auto-send for the checked addresses. However, when I manually request calibre send to these addys, it works. Autosend was working when I had EPUB as a format but of course Amazon kicked those back.

Maybe i need the exact string that should go in the format field... ?

If you want to auto email news to your kindle then you have to use mobi and set your output format to mobi as well. That is set in Preferences->Behavior
