License error when Connecting as Wireless Device
I can use Companion fine connecting to cloud or Content Server. However, when I try to connect with either of the Wireless Device options, I get the following once 'connected':
Application Not Licenses This application does not appear to be licensed correctly through Google Play. ........ Obviously I purchased via Google Play and it does work once I am connected. How do I resolve the license issue with wireless connection. I am using the latest version available from Google Play. |

Are you sure you did not launch the Demo version?
That has a 20 book, On Device limit. |

1) The google user id (email address) used to purchase CC is not the same as the id given to the Play Store on the device. 2) "Google Services" on the device cannot connect to the Google servers. The second has many sub-causes. Some are: 1) A firewall on the device is preventing Google Services from connecting. 2) The wifi network is not connected to the internet. 3) The device cannot connect to the internet. 4) Google Services cannot connect to the internet. 5) The device is running a very old version of Google Services. This can happen if the Play Store was added to the device by the user, not the manufacturer. |

After I uninstall and see it in Google Play that it was purchased and then re-install wireless works fine. However on both of my Android devices, when I do it again a second time, I get the license error.

On either device, can you launch the Play store and then see that you have purchased CC, without having to supply an email address or password during the process? In other words, have you set up a Google "account" for the Play store to use, and is that account the one you used to pay for CC? If you can then the problem will be somehow caused by the Google Play services (not part of CC) not being able to connect to the license servers. Another possible cause: if you are downloading the APK from anywhere other than the Google Play store then the "package key" in the APK might have been changed. In this case licensing will never succeed. The actual license check takes place in Google's code, not CC's. If in the end CC cannot validate its license then we can give you a refund. |
