Strange Problem with files/folders

Hello,
Calibre seems to behave in a really strange way: I can add books without problem (the folder is created and the book is there), I can even open epubs in the internal reader, but if I try to "open path" or "open folder" it says:
''Could not open URL <<file:/// (here is the path to the book) >>.
If I copy the path and paste it to Thunar it opens and there's the book.
Any ideas? It happens with all books.

By the way, I'm using Archlinux, just in case it could be important.

xdg-open is broken on your system. That often happens when using less common desktop environments. Fix it and opening files will work.

I've modified xdg-open (workoround: setting DE=gnome...) and now it works!
