Dual format Mobi not keeping correct title

I'm trying to send a dual format mobi to my kindle email to keep them as AZW3 where possible but whenever I send one it loses the series information from the title. My AZW3 files when sideloaded have the correct title info and ive tried adding specific plugboards for email to keep the title info but nothing seems to work.

Is this just an issue with when it creates the dual format mobi that its not building the kf8 version properly or something on amazons end when it receieves it? My normal mobi files keep all information correctly when sent.

Amazons rules

You want AZW#, you side load or BUY-load from them
You want to e-mail, Mobi (single)

No you can get AZW3 its just not keeping the correct title, having googled a bit more in depth it seems this is down to calibre but is an issue with a low priority as it might break a lot of things with MOBI and would need lots of testing.

Yep -- updating the split metadata fields in both components of a dual-MOBI is not something calibre knows how to do, and it will stay that way until someone who needs dual-MOBI takes the initiative to fix it.

Not a lot of people use dual-MOBI

mostly people emailing to send-to-Kindle.
