				Embedded Web viewer in Calibre?

Howdy, I was wondering if there was any kind of plugin for an embedded web viewer for remote reading in Calibre? I found some posts from years ago that talked about using Monocle to implement this functionality... was the project scrapped? Or just back burnered?

Gotcha, thanks for the update! Love your software, by the way. It has helped me maintain a nice, organised library for years now. No more ebooks buried in complex directories. :P Right now, I'm getting by using the Calibre-server and a slew of programs across my devices, Mostly moon+ reader on mobile, or I shuffle files between download folders when I need them. It would be nice not to have to use precious space though. |

Hmm, I remember getting excited a couple months ago when some work was done in source to "start work on server re-write". Because there has been mention going back a few years that someday the server would be rewritten with support for server-client management, multi-user, embedded reader, kitchen sink, etc. Kovid has said in the past he doesn't keep a firm schedule for his TODO list, but works on things as and when he gets inspired. Here's to hoping inspiration will strike again? Last edited by eschwartz; 08-19-2015 at 10:24 AM. |

I'm still working on that re-write most of the work has been going on in this repo: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/rapydscript-ng where I am working on improving rapydscript to the point I can use it to write the javascript parts of the new server. |
