A Father for Lilja by Ryszard I. Merey is his contemporary literary coming-of-age novel exploring complex themes of self-discovery, sexuality, gender identity, and family and romantic relationships, starring a young woman who falls in love with a man who strongly resembles a favourite cousin, who in turn is already involved with a ambiguously gendered individual, and how their lives all intertwine, free courtesy of LGBT specialty publisher Lethe Press (Wikipedia).

This is apparently done in a somewhat experimental alternating stream-of-consciousness/more conventional 1st/3rd-person narratives and conversational transcript style, and has a bit of quoted praise from the Library Journal in the editorial reviews section.

Because it's always nice to see a bit more diversity in the representation of the characters in the novels that we get, and I think this might be the first one we've officially gotten with an actual non-binary/transgender character in it. Also, I the use of experimental literary storytelling structures on general principles, so bonus points.
