Problems with Collapsible TOC on Paperwhite

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and regularly edit ebooks with the Calibre editor feature. One of the things I really appreciate is the ability to create TOCs easily, especially collapsible/layered TOCs.

But when making a TOC for an omnibus ebook, I've noticed that, although the TOC is perfectly layered in the editor, when I load it onto my Kindle, the entries for the first book of the omnibus disappear. I can only see the TOC entry for the book title, not the chapters/parts of the first book.

The second and third+ books in the omnibus show up perfectly, with TOC entries for the book titles and subsequent chapters, all nicely collapsible.

Can anybody help?

Fist element in the NCX ToC must not be collapsible, it's a known bug introduced to PW1 with firmware 5.4.x, or maybe it was on 5.3.9 and still it's not fixed on newer PW1 & PW2 firmware. So the fix is to add (via Calibre's ToC Editor, or Sigil) something like "Title Page", ie any single level element before that collapsible element.

Thank you, I will try that!
