Tablet How to type the character > on a Nook HD

I'm trying to connect my Nook HD to my phone's wi-fi, but am unable to type
the character > on my Nook which is need to complete the wi-fi password.
I can't change the needed password.

This also means I can't connect my Nook to the Play Store and look for alternate keyboards at the moment.

Kinda frustrating.
Any suggestions?

On the keyboard of the HD+ touch numbers (123). Then choose the extra symbol key ({&=). It is on the second line fourth key from the right.

Apache, thank you very much!!

The keyboard on my HD is a bit different than on my HD+, but after reading your
suggestion, I just kept long-pressing different character keys on my HD until the > symbol finally appeared as an alternate available on my ( key.

After I got the > filled into the wi-fi password field, everything went fine.
