Hello. I am trying to convert from Microsoft Word to AZW3. I want to add small page numbers, to keep me well oriented in my book.
How do I tell Calibre to keep header/footer when I'm converting from a Word document? Thank you kindly for your time. |

You might be able to add in a header/footer, but I don't think you'll get such when converting from Word with a header/footer. You'd have to figure out how to do this and you won't be able to add changing numbers to the header/footer inside each XML file

The problem is, ebooks are reflowable, which runs counter to the philosophy behind headers/footers, and doesn't sit well with page numbers either. Maybe if you converted to PDF.
![]() Kindles have Time Left To Read, which I find works far better than page numbers ever did. |
