Extra pages (blank screens) between chapters.

I have created 3 ebooks (ePub format, not conversions) with the Calibre Editor and they work just fine (all pass the EPUB-Check program perfectly - thanks to a little help found earlier on this forum). However, when the ebooks are read (either with the Calibre reader or on the preview option at Kobo.com) I get extra blank pages (screens) between chapters. I expect one, but get up to 9!

I do have : page-break-before: always;" set in the css for h1 (which I use at the start of each chapter) but my thinking says that should add one (1) blank screen, not multiples.

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

If you are doing File per Chapter

You are forcing another new-screen if you have a page break before on the h1

Thanks. And, yes, I am doing a file per chapter. That seemed to be a big improvement!

A simple solution to a big problem for a simply boy.
