Problem with ink on Kindle Keyboard
I believe the kindle may have been exposed to too cold temperature.
Can this be repaired? (please see pdf attachment for pic) |

Looks like a broken substrate on the screen. Not fixable without replacing the screen.

Yes, that's an absolutely unmistakable image of a fractured screen substrate. You've cracked the thin glass screen that lies below the outer plastic screen. Given the age of the device, a screen replacement is probably uneconomic.
