False Faces by Seth Margolis is the 1st in his Joe DiGregorio series of suspenseful murder mysteries starring the eponymous Long Island police detective, this installment putting him undercover as a yuppie accountant to try and solve a case where the victim's friends are already running their own amateur investigation, free courtesy of publisher Diversion Books, who are e-printing it from its 1991 St. Martin's Press hardcover edition.

This apparently contains f/m romantic elements which are continued throughout the series as the relationship progresses.
