kobo aura or kobo glo hd? worth an upgrade
i can possibly exchange my kobo aura for the hd version? and pay the difference around £30.00
what do you guys think is it worth it i don't mind about not having the sd card... its a shame the design isn't flush on the hd version but it seems to be the best e-reader around at the moment according online reviews, what do you guys think? |

Yes, the new Kobo Glo HD is much better than the Aura. You should do that.

Personally, I suggest going for the Kobo Aura H2O if you can.

No the H2O is not faster. It does have the advantage of being water and dust proof, and a larger screen, which some people prefer.

Best for certain purposes, perhaps, but "best" is a nebulous concept. You have to ask "best for what?". For me personally, the Kindle Voyage is the best, but of course it's an awful lot more expensive than the Kobo and it's not an ePub device.

The H2O's 6.8" screen is really nice. Once you start reading on it, a 6" screen seems small. The screen is not that much larger, but its just larger enough that you feel more like you are reading a book than a screen.

Well, now that H20 looks like a winner. Where is the best place (cheapest and fasted in shipping) to buy it. I am in US? With current exchange rate from Canada, is it worth buying from there?

EDIT: and since you're in the US ,your best (or at least easiest) option will be ordering from Canada. Don't think there is anywhere in the US you can buy the newer Kobo devices on-line or in-store currently Last edited by robko; 06-15-2015 at 10:43 PM. Reason: Additional info |

I did find the IR touchscreen on the H2O to be much less accurate than the Kindle's capacitive touchscreen, but if the OP is happy with the touchscreen on an older Kobo (which I believe is also IR?) he should be happy enough with the H2O's.
