And it was last available around January 2012. What do you need it for???

Also -- oftentimes Amazon still has their old versions available, e.g. Kindle firmware is still available. I've already checked the download link* for kindlegen 1.2 -- it's dead.

I need this version to compile some file to mobi version before KF8。
I am tring to use calibre now which outputs KF6 format.

kindlegen produces a combination MOBI/KF8.

If need be, use KindleUnpack to split the two.
