Intermittent Calibre shutdown with Kobo
Just wondering if anyone else ever experiences calibre closing down while a Kobo is attached?

I've experienced this off and on for some time (at least a year I'd say).

I attach my Kobo, it starts syncing; backups the database, prompts me as to whether or not to update reading stats and .... kaboo... calibre shuts down.

I normally don't run in debug mode but do know on at least one occasion I was and there were no clues in the log. I am right now back in debug mode and will see what (if anything) I can catch.

Never had that happen, but I don't run the utilities plug-in either.

It never has happened to me, and I always use the Kobo Utilities.

I haven't seen it happen either.

Does the reading status get saved for the books?

Yes; after restarting calibre, when the device is recognized the message is that no stats were updated.
