Searching a reader app
Hi,
I'm reading a bit at my android tablet... and I have an Energy Pro+ in its way, where I'm going to put calibre companion, and I'm looking for a reading app with these requirements (I don't know it exists):
Mantano/Overdrive give me the first one, Overdrive gives me the second one), none of them give me the third one (I think that I can see it, more or less, with Mantanto toc as it shows the page number for each chapter) and Mantano gives me the fourth. Sorry if this has already been answered, but as you see I have very few requirements but very specific. |

For point 3, doesn't most readers do this in the following way: page x of y? With a simple substraction you know how many pages are left.

Koreader's footer/mini progress bar can be set to display the pages to the next chapter, and the x of y for the book, and battery%, and current time, and progress percentage. It can be set to "show all at once" or you can toggle thru the ones you selected, by poking where they are displayed.
It allows you to deal with .css in a number of ways, defaulting to that in the .epub. You can add your own to the list that you can add to the cascade. Luck; Ken It's been a while since I have used the Android version, it may be slightly different , in some regards. It works the way I described on my Kobo Aura HD. This post might be of interest. The chapter progress is definitely on my ideal list as well. Moon+ Reader is my favorite for this feature. It shows the chapter name, page x of y for the chapter, and the percentage of the book read. Give it a try - it might be the closest to meeting your needs.
In terms of respecting CSS it's not the best - it does great with it's own native settings but I find it does not render a book wonderfully when you set it to show the publisher formatting. Here is the bar itself: ![]() Here are the available settings for this bar: ![]() Last edited by Duke9700; 05-27-2015 at 08:54 AM. Reason: Added screenshots & detail |
