page refresh
Is it possible to refresh PW2 pages on demand only? Or completely turn it off? (not just every 14 pages)
I've read a thread here about this, but there is no solution. Many E-books have a possibility to choose "never" in menu (Cybook Muse, Pocketbook...), but PW2 is an IDEAL E-book for me except for this. |

There is a hidden settings menu, that I can't quite remember how to pull up OTOH.
I remember that there's a debug search command for it, but the script it launches is guarded, so you have to look at said script, and just do what it should do manually, and voilà. I don't have a device on hand to be more precise, sorry. In any case, that means a jailbroken device, which isn't so easy on new devices. |

@Antoron: Not at all, I meant a lab126 hidden UI element.

Sounds great! But how can I find such a hidden script? |

Look at the text-type files in the file system of the Kindle.
You want to look inside of 5.6.2.1 Ref: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=262279 The procedure shown for 5.6.1.1 should be the same (other than names). Ref: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=262234 You can stop the procedure at step 13 and start browsing the files of the executable system at that point. Starting with the search bar shortcuts would be a good place to find where it is (and how to access it). Any broken links - just mentally remove/add the mount point path and change directory as indicated. Last edited by knc1; 06-30-2015 at 08:04 AM. |
