For some reason, this reminds me of that convo that Miles Vorkosigan and Simon Illyan have in Lois McMaster Bujold's Memory (highly recommended if you enjoy really well-written and insightful (secular) MilSF which transcends its genre) when discussing the various motivators behind human action encountered by ImpSec personnel over the decades: "Money. Sex. Power. … And elephants." Anyway, I'm sure those elephants could probably use the prayers.
