Kobo Store question

An author - Michelle (Sagara) West has her new book ebooked by DAW in NA and self published in rest of world.

I think the book you are talking about is Oracle:

I can also see this one but it is georestricted in New Zealand (ISBN 9780698161771): https://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebook/oracle-16

To see the full details including price of georestricted books you need either to change your address in your Kobo account and search for the book while logged in, or alternatively use a VPN which will let you see the book without logging in.

The author doesn't need the price, just the link but if the search doesn't work for georestricted books she can't get it



The URLs were copied from the address bar (IE11) and look exactly the same

but this got a 404 when used directly

The original links didn't work because the part of the URL after the domain had been encoded. It looks like:

%E2%80%8Be%E2%80%8Bn%E2%80%8B-%E2%80%8BU%E2%80%8BS%E2%80%8B/%E2%80%8Be%E2%80%8Bb%E2%80%8Bo%E2%80%8Bo%E2%80%8Bk%E2%80%8B/%E2%80%8Bo%E2%80%8Br%E2%80%8Ba%E2%80%8Bc%E2%80%8Bl%E2%80%8Be%E2%80%8B-16

When I looked at the correct links from here, I had the same results as GeoffR. You should be able to use them from anywhere, but if the book is not available in your region, the details will be shown with a "not available" message. And a search will only find books available to you.

One thing, the version at https://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebook/oracle-17, is missing the synopsis. The rest of the details seem to be OK.

I assume IE11 and Firefox can display what the Kobo server won't service.

Yes, when I retyped rather than copy/pasted it worked.
