Is there a way to automatically update metadata?
I find it kind of an annoyance and would rather have Calibre apply downloaded metadata.
Thanks |

Problem is which formats would be updated - all of them, or would you want to be selective, and are you prepared to suffer the potential performance penalty. You can hit Ctrl/E (Embed metadata) after saving the updates and choose which formats to update. BR |

I think the OP means have downloaded metadata applied to the book record -- without asking for confirmation/review.
I would think there is a way somewhere in Preferences, but I cannot be sure without checking, which I will do (assuming no one beats me ) once I get to the computer.

If there were something, believe me I would probably be using it.

I have downloaded metadata and applied it without checking to my own sorrow.
I find that if I don't check the metadata I loose the ability to check that I'm getting the right info for the book in question. Some titles are worse than others but I have found it a royal pain when three or four different but similar books show up. Better to take the time to choose the correct one manually if you are a control freak
