Danke das du auch die nicht von Dumas stammende Fortsetzung zur Verfügung stellst.

Apropos, Franz Julius Schneeberger war wohl zu seiner Zeit nicht so unbekannt. In der Freimaurerloge von Neudörfl war er Meister des Stuhls. Und wohl auch sonst im Umfeld der Freimaurer recht rege. (Siehe Anmerkung 1 in Wikipedia: Neudörfl)

Wobei in der Anmerkung der Verweis auf das "Österreichisches Biographisches Lexikon" von "häufig billigtste Kolportage" spricht. D.h. als Schriftsteller war er wohl keine bedeutende Person.

Letzteres finde ich natürlich überhaupt nicht schlimm/ehrenrührig. Auch eher schlichte Unterhaltungsliteratur hat ihre Berechtigung.
