PW2 - Changing collection thumbnails in Cover view

As the title says, I am wondering if there's any way to change the default image displayed for a collection? It'd be great to have a photo of the author for example as the thumbnail for the collection of that authors books.

No, there's no way to do that. You could probably change the image used for all collections, but you can't have a different image for each collection.

I think NiLuJe mentioned something about this a while back, if I could just remember where...

It would theoretically be doable, but is far, far, FAR more effort than is worth.
No one here is planning on touching that one with a ten-foot pole, although advice can be given for anyone who decides to try.
