Silence & Lies by UK scholar and author Harry Sidebottom (Wikipedia), himself a classical history lecturer at Oxford University, is a plot-relevant tie-in short adventure story to his Throne of the Caesars series of historical action/intrigue novels set in Imperial Rome in 238 AD (or CE, depending on which appellation you prefer to use), filling in a piece of backstory mentioned in the 1st novel, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins' uncollinated Harper imprint.

Currently free to pre-order (slated for April 9th) @ Amazon UK. There's a chance this might be a glitch freebie, since the only other place it can be pre-ordered that I can spot from Canada is B&N UK where it is low-priced, but unfree, though you could also check Google Play if you're in the UK.

Seems unlikely to cross the pond in any direction, as this flat-out does not exist in the US, is a completely insane $11 in Canada for a 30-page filesize that costs 49 pence

, and similarly though less wallet-gougingly unfree in other EU/Oceania regional stores when I spot-check.
