Dropbox App integration (oreilly sync)

Hi

I buy a lot of programming books from o reilly. They sync (when the book is updated) to dropbox's Apps\Oreilly directory.

Now I am trying to come up with a good workflow to use with calibre (or alternative).

Do I have to create copies of the books in my dropbox directories to calibre in order to use calibre or is there a better way?

calibre requires its own copy of any books. All it costs is disk space, which is usually pretty cheap.

I would try symlink method.

symlinks could be a real pain to handle in an automated manner...
