M96 - Where do you keep your stylus?

I've just received a new M96 - great machine - but I was surprised that there is no stylus holder on the device itself. How do you store your styluses? (stylusi?). Looks like I probably need to buy a case for the device to store the stylus....

I put the stylus in the case.

Onyx Boox M9X, Icarus Excell, tagus magno is the same product, with different name.

Look at this

I use the Wedo Trend Set case and am quite happy. It has a stylus loop.

Is it possible to use any 'tablet' stylus with the M9x, or is it a custom stylus specifically for the device?

I don't think so, I've tried some stylus from samsung galaxy tab and note on a store and they didn't work.

This has been discussed before (see e.g. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho....php?p=2698325 and https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...on#post2851175). The stylus is made by Hanvon, and Hanvon pens from some other devices have been reported to be compatible.

I wouldn't expect any pens made by Wacom (as in e.g. the Galaxy Note) or N-trig (as in e.g. the Surface Pro 3) to work.

I'm curious about this, although I do not own an M96.

What is unique to this manufacturer's stylus that makes only this stylus operational with the M96?

Thanks.

Other brands are often incompatible with each other as well (and even the pens that come with Wacom's own graphics tablets usually aren't interchangeable with Wacom's "penabled" pens that typically come with tablet PCs). I don't know enough to give a good technical explanation, unfortunately.

I did just find a review saying that the Wacom Intuos III pen (a non-penabled one) does work on the Hanvon Art Master III graphics tablet, so I am now a bit less confident that no Wacom pens would work with the M96. As far as I know, the only Wacom pens that others have tried on the M9x were penabled ones.

However, I don't know anything about the compatibility between the Art Master III pen and the M96.

As an experiment I just tried the Wacom pen from my Intuos Pro tablet, but it doesn't work.

I keep the pen in a drawer of my desk, because it is simply not necessary for reading.

And that's probably what I'll be doing when [if?] I purchase an M96.

It took me about 1 month to figure out that the M96-C was just NOT accurate enough with the touch screen.

Right now I've got a rubber band across the top of my device holding the stylus ... until I get a case!

I managed to put together a temporary solution using a small segment of bicycle inner tube which I've taped to the back of the device. The small section of inner tube holds the stylus in place.

I've looked around for a case but haven't found one I like the look of - ideally something lightweight.

I use a fishing line attached to a diy cover

OTOH would this work with the m96:
http://www.ectaco.co.uk/JBC-stylus/

It should according to this:

What do you think? Who will take the plunge?

No plunge needed: stili made for Hanvon, Ectaco (rebranded Hanvon), Pocketbook and Onyx will work with the M96.
Wacom Penabled pens (such as that of the Galaxy Note series) will not work, and neither will capacitive pens (thick rubbery ones like those for the ipad).
That a great price, too.
