How to avoid adding borders to images and headings when importing to library
Calibre adds borders to images and headings when importing to library.
How to avoid it, since I don't need any extra elements on the pages? Original file: ![]() Imported to Calibre library: ![]() |

calibre does not modify a file in any way while importing it. Open the imported file with fbreader and you will get the same rendering as before. What you are seeing is the difference in rendering for fb2 files between fbreader and calibre's viewer.

Thank you for reply!
You're right. But when converting file to epub it adds tag <border="1"> то images. It also adds style sheet classes .calibre2 and .calibre7 with background and border to the headings – I can edit in in Calibre editor. Is there way to avoid adding this tag and style sheet classes? If Calibre do not adds this tag, is there any way to remove it quickly? I did it manually with editor. I'm using IOS and mac os iBooks readers – they both render borders etc. It seems, that some reader (including Kindle touch, wich I have also) ignore for some reasons some tags... ![]() Last edited by epilandrus; 03-06-2015 at 07:50 AM. |

You can modify fb2.xsl in the calibre installation to make whatever changes you like in processing fb2 files.

Tanks a lot for your patience!
I've changed that xml and it worked! After conversion there are no frames and gray backgrounds. Thanks a lot! |
