Icon Rules

I couldn't find any thread about this, apologies if I have missed any.

I'm having trouble with my column icons, in the look and feel section of preferences.

I thought that has pattern and is not set meant that if a certain string of text is found and another column is empty it would set the icon. But I keep getting icons in every time the column is empty no matter if the pattern is mentioned or not in another column.

It works fine for me. I get the icon only when mytext contains an f and there are no tags.

What are the types of the columns you are using?
