Small improvement suggestion
Hello -
I have a couple of suggestions for the spellcheck dialogue for some future version: I would very much like to have the combobox (the one beneath "Change selected word to:") made into a listbox instead. Also it would be nice if the focus was removed from the OK button, so the dialogue isn't closed, whenever one inadvertently presses Enter. Also it would be nice, if the dialogue could be docked (just about the only thing I like in Word 2013). Regards, Kim |

Amen to the OK button I would like to see a simple way to use the original word (so it could be edited when the choices can' be figured) |

And I'll throw in... use 'regular' accelerator keys for the controls,
Alt/I for Ignore button Alt/A for Add to dictionary button Alt/C for Change Selected Word to: combo/list box, Alt/F for Filter text box Alt/S to toggle Show All Words checkbox Alt/E to toggle Case-insensitive Sort checkbox Alt/R for Refresh button Maybe - Alt/K for OK ?? Maybe - Alt/W for last position in word list ?? BR |

Can I tag a another spelling improvement request? - the spell checker does not recognise apostrophe s, and even if the whole combo is added to the dictionary, it is still flagged as misspelt.
e.g. someone’s or someone's are both marked as errors. Likewise names or other words with apostrophes cannot be accepted, e.g. maître d'hôtel. Could either words with apostrophes be added to dictionaries, or the apostrophe treated as a space during spellcheck? Thanks |
