Automatically convert to two formats?

My family uses devices that use both ePub and Mobi. I would like Calibre to automatically convert any books I add into *both* formats. I can see how to have it convert into one format - by selecting the default - but is it possible to have it automatically do this for more than one format?

Convert to Both EPUB and Mobi (or AZW3)
Typically books COME in one of those formats

Calibre will automatically convert to the device required format if it does not exist in the library.

Impossible -- unless you would like to use the CLI with a script to do the adding.

@theducks -- what do you do when some books are EPUB, and some are AZW3/MOBI?

I convert as needed. Some TN's are only going to be read by my wife on her K4.
I side load, so Send to device will take care of the few I might miss ahead of time.

And FWIW I too just convert ondemand.

Generic "you" -- the OP wants it done ahead of time, one reason I can think of is for the Content Server, anyway, auto convert on add is not a sufficient solution to the question.

That's true - but this doesn't address the fact that I add books to the library in both formats, and I'd like Calibre to fill in the missing one. IE, if I add a book in mobi format, it should create the ePub and vice versa. Apparently it's only possible for Calibre to tell automatically create one format. Oh well.

Precisely. I have a computer at home that I use as the Content Server. I have a directory set up as "auto add" via Dropbox, so I can add things from my laptop. But sometimes I add things in mobi format, and sometimes in ePub. And I'd like Calibre to fill in the missing server, so all books have both ePub and Mobi available through the Content Server. Apparently that's not possible.

I don't think "on demand" will work in this setting.
