Aura H2O Manga mode

Hi,

I've bought an Kobo Aura H2O today.
I've put many CBZ files on it.
But when i wanted to read it, i couldn't find any parameters to read in japanese reading direction.

There are any option ?

Not sure if I understand what you want.

Are you looking for a way to move to the next page by tapping the left side of the device (as opposed to the standard right side)?

Couldn't you rename the files renumbering them so that the last is first, and the first is last?

Yes, i want to move to the next page by tapping the left side for my manga in cbz.

I've tried Kindle Comic Convert with the Kobo Aura H2O profil and Manga mode check, but i have the same problem

It works that way for Japanese epub.kepub but manga... I guess you could embed the manga in an epub somehow but... is it really that important which side you tap for flipping a page?

Japanese users have been developing a hack called "kobo cfw," one of which it modifies is the page progression direction of cbz file. It seems that the latest firmware it supports is 3.1.1, since the version was the latest one for Japanese users until this month. an example

On the other hand, a program called rckepub does the cbz -> right-to-left kepub convertion quite easily.

(I think both resources are in Japanese only)

I was going to ask what this did, but I downloaded it and had a quick look. Lots of scripts and other things doing lots if interesting things.

I found one script that update the contents table and set the value of "PageProgressDirection" to "rtl" for all CBZ, CBR and PDF. As I don't have any comics on my device at the moment, as an experiment, I made the same change for a couple of epubs and kepubs. And it swaps the page turning direction. So, doing that for all the manga would achieves what I think the OP wants. From memory, the reading direction can be set in an epub, so it's possible this setting will be read when the epub is processed on the device. Otherwise, something needs to do a database update after the book is on the device.

Thanks. It's the third option in the pages control setting.
The icon is not very clear for me.

Just for information:

You can find scripts to change the reading direction

Both versions rely on fmon. The without-KSM version contains the concerned png image files. The KSM version does not (so you have to supply them by yourself, or take those of the without-KSM version. To make script and image file names match each other, you can replace "&" in the script names by "_").
