Mystery / Suspense audio books
I am looking for some mystery, suspense, legal thriller audio books. I have listened or red the following series and looking for similar.
Agatha Raisin Mysteries by MC Beaton Barbara Holloway by Kate Wilhelm Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen I am in the process of listening / reading Hamish Macbeth by MC Beaton. Any other series along these lines would be great. I have already listened / read Agatha Christie so those are out for me. Thanks in advance. |

Shirley Tallman's Sarah Woolson series might be to your liking. Sarah is an oddity as a female attorney in San Francisco in the late 19th century. Sarah's a fairly likable character though a bit humorless, if memory serves. Anna Fields narrated the first couple of books, and Carrington McDuffie took over after Fields died; both are good.

I love the Scarpetta series from Patricia Cornwell. My mother is addicted to the In Death Series from JD Robb (Nora Roberts)

i do remember thinking she must have been going through something in a few books in the middle there because it just wasn't the same. But then it started to get back on track for me. I still have to finish the last few though

I'd recommend the "Amelia Peabody" series by Elizabeth Peters. Great mystery stories with an Egyptological theme, mostly set in Egypt in the late 19th/early 20th century. The narrator, Barbara Rosenblat, is superb.

Does Patricia Cornwell series need to be read in order?
I am waiting on the In Death series at my library. For the first one I am currently 64th in line. I started out over 100. It is slowly getting to me ![]() Same thing with Sue Grafton but I have read The Alphabet Series. Just not listened as audio. |

I'd recomend (if you haven't read it yet) the books from Karen Rose, it is not a true series but a lot off the books are related or have mentions about carathers or events from other books, it would be better if read in order but I think they can be read independently also.
I know that some off them are available as audiobooks, not sure how many. |
