A Thousand Lies by Sharon Sala is her standalone Southern Gothic-looking suspense thriller with romantic elements, set amidst a dysfunctional New Orleans-neighbouring family with a dark secret and a thirst for revenge, free courtesy of publisher RosettaBooks, for whom this appears to be newly-written.

This is their Valentine's Day countdown giveaway freebie for the 7th, and although Sala is a long-established award-winning genre romance author with high praise from the members of our own Romance + Discussion megathread, this book is not itself a dedicated romantic suspense of her usual sort, as the customer reviews indicate that it deals quite seriously with some fairly dark subject matter including (not really a spoiler, but behind the tags in case you want to be surprised in-story)

which may be triggering for some of the more sensitive Gentle Readers in the audience, and the focus, naturally, is on the fallout of that, rather than a growing love story.

However, the customer reviews do seem to indicate that she handles the themes well and there's some heartwarming hopeful romance-y bits to lighten the narrative balance.
