Help us choose the February 2015 selection to read for the MR Literary Club! The run-off poll will be open for one day.

The run-off vote is single-choice. A discussion thread will begin shortly after a winner is chosen.

The rotating nominator (this month - HomeInMyShoes) may not vote in the poll. In the event of a tie, the tie will be resolved by the rotating nominator.

My library actually has both of these as ebooks (I can't bring myself to read paper anymore), so I'll join in this month whichever wins.

I'm excited to see two very different works in the run-off for the literary club this month. Humorous caricature versus rather serious historical fiction is an interesting split which sums up Canada nicely. We have a fine history of comedy in Canada as well as involvement in war across the world as peacekeepers and fighters. Even if these two weren't the highest of my picks when I built the nominations, it seems appropriate.

I had voted for both of them initially so it was hard to choose. I went with Fugitive Pieces but will be happy if the Richler wins as well.

They both sound quite good

but the one I can most easily obtain is Fugitive Pieces so I'll go for that one.

For me, both are good. Barney's Version is a good one-time read. I loved it and laughed a lot, but Fugitive Pieces is the more rewarding re-read. It will be my third time through and I'm looking forward to it.
