Unhappy Kobo Touch does not connect

My Kobo Touch does not connect to my laptop anymore.
Tried all the USB ports and different cables.
Kobo Arc, USB HD, USB DVD, MP3 player all connect.

Strange thing is, on my desktop the Touch connects immediately

Tried basic reset, did not work
Factory reset seems to work, but still no connection with my laptop.

Arie

Edit : laptop Debian 8, desktop debian 7
