Downgrading PW 5.6.1 WITH Jailbreak

I jailbroke my kindle a while ago, and can't remember if I installed BackdoorLock.
Regardless, my kindle recently updated to 5.6.1. I have already used the hot fix to fix=/update the jailbreak already installed, however I would like to re-downgrade to 5.4.0 to retain the collections sorting feature.

I know it is not possible to downgrade if you have not already jailbroken, but if I have is it possible?

Doable, yes. Easy, not particularly.

What you would do is reboot to an ssh-enabled diags mode, then ssh into your Kindle and use "dd" to overwrite the main partition with the image from an earlier fw release.

This is the only known image for an actual fw5.4.0 -- Amazon never released an update for the very first fw revision.

There's also the added bonus of those early FW versions potentially not handling the latest PW2 at all, so, yay.

But the diags partition should still work, so it's fixable.
