When the Daily Deal isn't a deal

Anybody showing The Monogram Murders, today's (Jan 29) daily deal, at 13.99? I'm in Canada.

I googled Kobo Daily Deal and at one point it showed as 4.99. I've seen this happen the odd time before, but it's more irritating when one might actually want to try the book.

Edit: NVM. It's now showing a totally different book. I don't want that one.

Oh yep Kobo's mucked up the Aus Deal of the Day pricing a bit. The next time you see the pricing muck up what if you post it in this thread:
Ouch! Kobo ebook prices!

because that thread is being monitored by Brodie from Kobo, as you'll read on the first page.

Ah. I've posted on that thread regarding another book (and saw your post on the daily deal with 3 different prices). I've seen that happen too.

Just a guess, but I think this was a failure to update the link--a case of the book returning to its regular price after the daily deal but the link not being updated, though I have no idea how they work that. The reason I say this is that it appeared once at 4.99 as the daily deal (no inconsistency) when I clicked yesterday morning and then a bit later at 13.99 (as the only price) still under the daily deal link but clearly not a deal. Still later on the same day, it was showing an entirely new book at 2.99 under the daily deal link. To my mind, it's not quite like the case you describe/picture in the other thread because the price display itself was never inconsistent, only classified incorrectly, as it were, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for posting and the feedback. We're working hard to improve daily deal and make it much better, so stay tuned. I'll post a thread for feedback when we're ready, but appreciate the posts so we can look into technical issues in the meantime. Feel free to PM me if this happens again.
