Hometown Favourite: A Novel by Bill Barton & Henry O. Arnold, with a foreword by sports figure Chris Sanders (Wikipedia), is their modern-day retelling of the Book of Job story, starring an African-American football player (rugby, not soccer) with a seemingly perfect life until things go biblically wrong, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.
