Opening Personal Documents in Kindle For PC?

I've had several documents send to my Kindle.com email address. I see them in my Personal Documents on Amazon.com, and am able to read them just fine on my Kindle.

What I want to do is be able to open them in Kindle for PC so that I will be able to catalog/back them up via Calibre.

However, I can't load them in K4PC.

Does anyone have any advice???

K4PC does not support personal documents. You would have to copy them from a Kindle device, or convert the original doc yourself, using Calibre, to get a copy that can be read on your pc.

I did try to pull the docs off of my Kindle using Calibre, but a lot of them are not showing up as being on my device when I open Calibre.

You can download any of your personal documents in Kindle format (or any that are in PDF format) directly from cloud.amazon.com (go to All Files, My Send-To-Kindle Docs). You don't need K4PC or a Kindle.

Another option is to connect your kindle to calibre and go to device, locate your items and save them back to the pc, you can then load them into calibre as normal.
