Question Replacing broken Aura HD screen?

I've had an Aura HD (my first ebook reader) for a few months now and have been enjoying it. Unfortunately the screen broke while in my bag on holiday (I'd meant to buy a case for it but hadn't got round to it).

Will I just have to buy a new one or is it possible to replace the screen? Either myself or by sending it to Kobo or some third party? I tried a quick google on doing so but haven't found anything much.

Unfortunately the downside of these electronic devices is their fragility, they cannot be put in a bag like you would a paper book as pressure from other things in the bag against the screen are likely to damage it as you have experienced.
I've never heard of a screen replacement for an e-reader but you should inquire at the official Kobo website, they have assistance and you can chat with a person from Kobo, I don't remember where but it's somewhere on their website.

I'll save you the hassle: don't bother contacting Kobo because they don't replace screens.
There are a number of threads kicking around of people replacing screens so it's possible, but finding a new or good used HD screen may be tough.

I suggest, just buy a new one. Finding a Kobo HD screen is not just a hassle but kinda hard as well.

Look for H20 or Kindle PW2.
