Software Sync error

For some reason, the Sony Reader (PC) software refuses to sync my DRM books onto my reader. It will say "x item(s) synced", but they never actually show up on the device (or they show up in triplicate+). I have no idea why it won't work, and it's staunchly refusing to check for updates. This is pretty problematic, because some of the books are textbooks I need for class. Help?

Sounds like it might be something with your sync settings. Here are some instructions from the Kobo website.

Do you really need the sync capabilities? I would just manually transfer the books on to the reader via the USB cable. Your reader should show up in your Explorer window as an external drive/device.
