Calibre plugin (or way) to generate an HTML bookshelf
Hi,
I'm searching for a way to generate an HTML bookshelf out of my Calibre library. More or less like a traditional bookshelf where people could see the cover and the book (not the epub itself) in a visual way... but instead of having at home would be at my homepage. I haven't found any plugin to do it, is anyone doing it? How? Thank you! Carles |

On what OS? Can it run a 'Serverside' app ![]() Make a full copy of your Library (I will call it Visitor) On Visitor: Select all books: Right click: Remove Books: Remove all formats You now have a Library of empty booksThis will be your public Content Server Library. Run a Calibre content server with this Library ![]() Distribute the Catalog book (to be viewed on their reading device) |

Hi,

I'll have a look at Calibre Content Server (I didn't know it), but what I've seen quickly it's not exactly what I'd like, I'd like something simpler to maintain (just a set of html files). Thank you for the answer, |

Maybe do this: Make the catalog. Then convert it to htmlz. Now you just need to unzip that to get a html version (no idea, if it looks how you want it).

FWIW I made an epub catalog from Calibre
There are lots of options for format and data to include when making the catalog (thanks Kovid) and since it's an eppub you can do the standard epub things like edit metadata, new cover, etc. Converted to HTMLZ and unzipped that into a new folder Since there is a cover.jpg and a style.css file extracted you can do a lot more special formatting if you want. Double clicking on the index.html displays the data and covers and all sort of nice stuff I'd don't have a server requirement so I'm happy with just the epub |

Calibre2opds can do what I think the OP requested.
There are options to have a coverflow view or a list view with thumbnails. You can also decide whether downloads of the ebook files are allowed. |
