Hal Peterson Media Services Publisher [2015]
Hello everyone,
I am Kyle, from Hal Peterson Media Services, and I wanted to share with you our Hunter & Holmes e-book mystery series. Hunter & Holmes Mysteries are centered around Jason Hunter and Daniel Holmes, two teenagers living in the Silicon Valley who become amateur detectives to solve crimes that affect them and their community. The eight novels depict their struggles against the criminals responsible, especially those who would harm other young people. In addition to their action/adventure side, the books explore the worlds of music, sports, philanthropy, friendship, romance, and family. The books are meant for readers aged 13 and older: teenagers, young adults, or anyone who enjoys and appreciates the “hobby detective” genre. The books come in pdf, epub, and Kindle editions, with unique graphics layouts and many color illustrations. We consider the pdf editions to be the best, as they emulate the size and layout of a typical hard cover novel. If you are a fast reader you could finish the first novel in a few hours, or if you’re like me and you tend to be a slower reader, a few days. Regardless of reading level the novels are an easy and fun read for everyone. Part of the charm of the Hunter & Holmes series is that there are multiple adventures and books to enjoy as you get to know their community of family and friends. If you really connect with Jason and Daniel in the first novel, there are seven additional novels to enjoy afterwards. Hunter & Holmes Mysteries are available at the Hunter & Holmes official website or from Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Drive Through Fiction, and OmniLit. Thank you for your consideration. ![]() The Kidnapping is the beginning of the Hunter & Holmes Mystery Series adventure and where we are introduced to the detective duo, Jason Hunter & Daniel Holmes. The Kidnapping specifically revolves around Jason Hunter as he attempts to solves his own mysterious kidnapping and, in the process, slowly unearths his family’s unique history. By following Hunter & Holmes we are exposed to how each individual detective copes with Hunter’s traumatic kidnapping as well as everyday stressors such as school, relationships, and teenage life. We journey with Hunter & Holmes as the detective duo attempts to solve this mysterious kidnapping by using their own unique characteristics to slowly piece together this seemingly unsolvable case. ![]() Jason and Daniel are back in the second Hunter & Holmes Mystery, Double Fugue. While The Kidnapping focused primarily upon Jason’s ordeal and how he and Daniel decided to figure out who was responsible, Double Fugue revolves around Daniel and his evolving passion for music. Ethan Savage, a rock music legend and one of Daniel’s musical inspirations, is playing the final concert of his farewell tour in San Jose. Daniel wants to go see Ethan off even though he doesn't have a ticket, but his parents forbid him to go. Luckily Daniel finds out the route home that Ethan will be taking the day after the concert from Diana. Since his parents didn't forbid him to ride his bicycle, Daniel decides to bicycle to a spot where he would most likely be seen by Ethan on his trip home. After a successful meet and greet, coupled with a brief private music lesson from Ethan, the mood rapidly changes when Daniel witnesses Ethan’s bizarre abduction a little later. Worse yet, Daniel is also taken prisoner. A series of incredible adventures ensues. Earlier, Jason is asked to help 14-year-old Eric Acosta, nephew to one of Jason’s neighbors, whom he senses has been the victim of a vicious crime. Unfortunately Eric has become traumatized and is unwilling to communicate with anyone making the situation much more difficult. Jason, Daniel, and Mr. Connor drive down to the small town where Eric lives to offer their friendship and other forms of assistance to try and break through to Eric. This becomes the first case for Jason’s Whatever Foundation, formed to help teenaged crime victims. What they discover in the process is both heart wrenching and upsetting.
