Question How to debug Kindlet without loading it to kindle?

Hello all!

I've been lurking here for a few days and just managed to have a basic HelloWorld kindlet on my paperwhite. I'm looking to create some other stuff but loading the kindlet to the kindle every time I want to test changes seems a bit convulted... after searching the forums I guess my question is how do you debug your apps? Is there some kind of simulator? I tried to just run the kindlet from the console (I'm on OSX) but I'm getting some errors.

Thanks!

Seems like there is an emulator, but I am not sure.

If you mount the drive with sshfs (at least on Linux), you can easily transfer stuff and have a command line, and try it out on the Kindle. I've not seen any emulator for the Kindle interface.

There was one in the very early years of the Kindle (K2 ... K3 time frame?) -
But it wasn't very good even then and Amazon backed away from supporting outside development.

I suppose it is next to useless now, for the newer 5 series firmwares.
