Issue with Copying Database to Another Computer
I copied my database to a laptop. Installed Cailbre and then copied over my copy of Calibre (with custom columns and such). Pointed Calibre at the database.
Everything works EXCEPT, no covers are shown. The covers exist in the folders of the database, but Calibre does not show them. All the metadata shows up, and the series and other grouping shows up, just not the covers. I can no longer find the Restore or Rebuild database option. Where they are supposed to exist (one is Preferences-> Advanced, another is Right Click Calibre icon) there are no such option. Thanks. |

Click the small arrow to the right of the "Calibre Library" icon on the main toolbar, and select "Library Maintenance" from the drop-down menu.

The problem was, there was NO Library Maintenance on the drop down.
But I renamed the database to import everything. But it then still saw the database, and the Library Maintainance reappeared, but so did the covers. So I named the library back, and every thing is working. No idea what happened, no idea of what fixed it, but it is working. Thanks. |
